- The source quotes eight billed hotel nights for eight programme days. Its daily route shows seven overnight stops plus a midnight-arrival arrangement. The exact arrival room night is confirmed before the hotel block is booked.
- The source headings refer to six client vehicles, while occupancy alternatives require different vehicle counts. The final quote reconciles participant count, occupancy and actual vehicles.
- A USD 1,000 cash security deposit per vehicle is separate from the package price. Return follows inspection and any applicable damage, fine or extra-charge deductions.
- Fuel is excluded. The source suggests approximately USD 35 per person per day for lunches and dinners combined, apart from included meals; this is a planning allowance.
- Eight billed hotel nights with breakfast under the source arrival-room assumption
- Toyota Land Cruiser 100 automatic or an agreed equivalent, subject to confirmed vehicle specification
- Local lead guide and support/sweep vehicle with mechanic
- Radio and recovery-equipment provision
- Welcome and farewell dinners with soft drinks
- Two field picnic lunches
- Airport transfers and the Baku guided programme
- Listed route admissions and required permit arrangements
- Fuel for the route
- International flights, visa fees and personal travel or driving insurance
- Meals beyond breakfast, the two picnics and the two included dinners
- Optional activities and personal expenses
- Vehicle insurance has an applicable excess and exclusions. The supplier contract must identify them; the USD 1,000 deposit is not stated as a universal liability cap.
- The source operator requires an International Driving Permit alongside valid driving documents. Confirm driver eligibility in the rental contract.
- Track access, permissions, weather and recovery requirements determine the final route.
- A free escort place is subject to the agreed paying-participant threshold, vehicle seat and room allocation.
This supported self-drive package links the Talysh Mountains in southern Azerbaijan with Khizi, Khinalig and the Qusar area in the north. Drivers travel as a convoy with a lead guide and support vehicle.
Vehicle and room configuration
The lowest source NET rate is USD 2,420 per person, based on 24 participants, four travellers per vehicle and double-room sharing. The table preserves the other source configurations. Vehicle count and room allocation are reconciled before booking; the same six-vehicle heading cannot be assumed to fit every occupancy option.
The updated proposal specifies Land Cruiser 100-series automatic vehicles. Exact vehicles, tyres, recovery equipment and the insurance contract are confirmed at handover planning.
Proposed accommodation
The updated source names Shah Palace Museum Hotel in Baku, Besheru Forest Cottage near Lankaran, Relax Hotel in Lerik, Altiagac Cennet Bagi, Guba Cennet Bagi and Park Qusar. These are proposed properties. The extra billed arrival room night must be agreed against the flight schedule.
Meals and optional activities
Breakfast, two field picnics and welcome/farewell dinners are included. Other meals and fuel are separate. The source gives an indicative USD 5–15 per-person range for optional activities such as horse riding or fishing; availability and actual charges are confirmed locally.
For the route explanation and regional planning context, see the eight-day 4x4 itinerary.
Questions travelers ask
- Is fuel included?
- No. Participants pay fuel for their vehicle. The published NET package prices exclude fuel and personal driving insurance.
- Why does an eight-day programme list eight nights?
- The source includes an extra room night for the midnight-arrival arrangement, in addition to seven overnight stops in the daily route. The final quote must confirm the exact arrival date and hotel access.
- Does the deposit cover all possible liability?
- No universal liability limit is implied. The source requires a USD 1,000 cash deposit per vehicle; the insurance excess, exclusions and damage procedure are set out in the supplier contract.
