Chenot Palace Gabala: 2026 Prices, What's Included, and Is It Worth It?
comparison · 9 min read
A sourced 2026 decision guide to Chenot Palace Gabala: verified program prices, what the 7-night program actually includes, an honest read on the 'Detox' and 'Ageing Well' marketing language, and how to get there from Baku. Written by an independent Baku DMC, not Chenot's operator.
Chenot Palace Gabala is a medical-wellness retreat in the Gabala foothills of Azerbaijan's Greater Caucasus, run by the Chenot Group across a 6,000 m² spa and 75 rooms, suites and villas. Its three core programs start at AZN 7,800 for a mandatory 7-night stay, program fee only; the room is billed separately, from about AZN 750 a night, on top.
Birtour is a Baku-based DMC. We did not build Chenot Palace Gabala, we do not run it, and we are not a medical provider: the Chenot Group operates the property, and its own clinical team sets who can book, what treatment plan they get, and what results to expect. Nothing on this page is medical advice. Prices below are drawn from Chenot's own programmes page as of July 2026, indicative and dated; confirm current figures before paying anything.

How much does Chenot Palace Gabala cost?
Chenot Palace Gabala runs three named programs, all priced from AZN 7,800 to AZN 10,600 for the program alone, all requiring a minimum 7-night stay, and all billed separately from the room. As of July 2026, the cheapest combination, a 7-night Advanced Detox program plus 7 nights at the from-rate room, runs to roughly AZN 13,050 before extras.
| Program | Minimum stay | Program price (from) | Focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advanced Detox | 7 nights | AZN 7,800 | Deep detox and purification: diagnostics, medical consultations, individual treatments, the Chenot Diet |
| Recover & Energise | 7 nights | AZN 10,300 | Stress, fatigue and sleep, delivered through neuroscience-based technology |
| Prevention & Ageing Well | 7 nights | AZN 10,600 | The Advanced Detox base plus repair-focused treatments aimed at biological ageing markers |
Two things about that table matter more than the headline numbers. First, the room is never included: accommodation runs from about AZN 750 a night on Chenot's own site, so a 7-night stay adds roughly AZN 5,250 minimum on top of whichever program fee applies, and that figure only rises with a higher room category. Second, Chenot does not sell anything shorter. Its own FAQ states that access to the property is granted exclusively to guests following a Chenot programme, that stays under 7 nights and leisure-only bookings are not available, and that a 7-night program can be extended to 14. Full prepayment is required, with free cancellation if you cancel 21 or more days before arrival.
Treat every number above as a starting point, not a quote. Chenot's site prices in AZN and revises figures by season and room tier; we have also seen third-party wellness agents advertise the same retreat in EUR under different program names, with figures that do not reconcile cleanly against Chenot's own page. Use the AZN "from" figures above as the reference point, and get a written quote against your exact dates before paying anything.
What's included in a Chenot Gabala program?
Every Chenot Gabala program opens with baseline diagnostics, runs on the same roughly 850-calorie-a-day Chenot Diet, and layers in a set of hydrotherapy, massage and technology-based treatments around it; the three programs differ in which treatments get the most time, not in the basic structure.
Chenot Palace Gabala staffs this with more than 100 medical-wellness specialists across the property.
| Element | What it involves |
|---|---|
| Diagnostics | Chenot's proprietary Lifestyle Biomarkers assessment, plus a consultation that sets your individual treatment plan for the stay |
| The Chenot Diet | A supervised, roughly 850-calorie-a-day plan, three meals a day for seven days, largely plant-based |
| Hydrotherapy | Hydro-aromatherapy immersion baths and high-pressure hydro showers |
| Bodywork | Phyto-mud wraps, energetic (cupping) massage, deep-tissue massage |
| Technology | A cryochamber cooled to about -110°C, alongside other Chenot Method devices |
| Physiotherapy and follow-up | Individual sessions scheduled around your program's focus, detox, recovery or prevention |
An 850-calorie daily intake is a substantial calorie deficit; most adults will lose weight and may feel lighter and more alert within a week on any comparably supervised low-calorie diet, wherever it happens. That's expected physiology, not evidence that the program removes toxins from the body, which the word "Detox" implies. The "Ageing Well" program name carries the same problem: a week of hydrotherapy, massage and calorie restriction has not been shown to slow biological ageing in any trial we found. None of this means the week isn't a good reset for some guests. It means the program names are brand language, not a documented clinical result, and we would rather say that plainly than let the naming do the work.
Is Chenot Palace Gabala worth it?
For a guest who wants a fully supervised week, calorie restriction, hydrotherapy and diagnostics with no decisions to make, and who can absorb roughly AZN 13,000-plus for 7 nights before flights, Chenot Palace Gabala delivers that specific experience well. It's a poor fit for anyone wanting a flexible, room-only or shorter stay.
As of our July 2026 research, Tripadvisor puts Chenot Palace Gabala at around 4.9 out of 5 from roughly 69 reviews, ranking it #2 of 14 hotels in Qabala. Guests writing those reviews keep coming back to the same points: the location, changes they noticed within days, the staff, and a diet that tasted better than they expected. Treat the exact rating and review count as a snapshot; both move.
Anyone drawn in specifically by "detox" or "anti-ageing" as medical claims should recalibrate before booking; per the section above, the honest sell is a structured, supervised, fairly expensive reset week, not a documented treatment. Guest reviews also skew toward Russian, CIS, Turkish and Azerbaijani travelers, which tracks with how the property is marketed regionally. If your reference point is a Western European medical spa brand, expect a broadly similar clinical tone, set among Gabala's mountains rather than the Alps.
Chenot Gabala vs Weggis and other Chenot retreats
Chenot Palace Gabala is one property in a group that runs the same method, diet and diagnostics system elsewhere, including its original site in Weggis, Switzerland. We can confirm Gabala's prices and terms directly from Chenot's own site; we could not independently verify current 2026 pricing or program names for Weggis or other locations in this research pass.
We are not going to publish numbers we cannot stand behind, so treat any Weggis or other-location pricing you see elsewhere as unconfirmed until it comes from Chenot directly. What we can say with confidence: Gabala is the option inside easy reach of the Caucasus and the Caspian, not the Alps, and it's priced in Azerbaijani manat rather than Swiss francs or euros. If you're comparing Gabala against Weggis or another Chenot property specifically, ask Chenot for a like-for-like quote in one currency, and we will publish a verified comparison here once we have one.
How do you get to Chenot Palace Gabala?
Chenot Palace Gabala sits in Nohurgishlag, in the Gabala district of Azerbaijan, overlooking Nohur (Garanohur) Lake in the Caucasus foothills. The fastest route in is via Gabala International Airport, about 30 km from the property; the slower, more common route for international guests is a road transfer from Baku, roughly 220 km and about 4.5 hours by car.
Ganja International Airport sits about 170 km away, which occasionally works for guests already routing through Ganja, though Baku remains the practical hub for most international flight connections into Azerbaijan. We have not independently verified current scheduled-flight connectivity into Gabala International or exact road-transfer timing by season, so build in a buffer and confirm both before booking a tight arrival window.
What we don't do
- We don't operate Chenot Palace Gabala. The Chenot Group runs the property and its clinical program; we didn't design the treatments and we don't decide who qualifies for which one.
- We don't quote a single all-in Chenot price. Program fee and room rate are billed separately, room category changes the total, and Chenot revises both by season, so any number we give you today could be wrong by your travel dates.
- We don't call the programs a proven detox or anti-ageing treatment. We've explained above why "Detox" and "Ageing Well" are brand names, not documented outcomes; we're not going to repeat the marketing framing as if it were ours.
What we do: if you're flying into Baku for a Chenot Gabala stay, we can help with the parts Chenot's own booking funnel doesn't cover: the Gabala transfer, extending the trip before or after the program, and a local contact if something comes up during the stay. For the wider logistics of planning a trip through Azerbaijan, our DMC quote request guide has the template that gets a fast, accurate answer.
