This seven-day Baku, Gabala and Shahdag outline is a starting point for a quote, with a proposed six-night split of three nights in Baku, two in Gabala and one in Shahdag. The day cards describe a proposed programme; the written quote identifies the services and meals included in your booking.

Should a family visit both Gabala and Shahdag in one week?

It depends on how much time you want to spend travelling between hotels. This version uses three bases and includes a transfer day between Gabala and Shahdag. For a family with young children, a Baku stay plus one mountain base can leave more time for outings and rest. If both mountain regions are essential, ask us to compare this outline with a longer trip before booking flights.

We check the route against the actual hotels, season and flight times. A road estimate between city centres does not cover hotel access, comfort stops or time needed at the airport.

There is no fixed three-hour promise for the Gabala to Shahdag leg. Keep that day free of prepaid afternoon activities until the driving plan has been checked.

Which hotel replaces the two-night Chenot stay?

A Gabala family hotel will be named in the quote after checking two-night availability and the room arrangement for your party. We have removed Chenot Palace Gabala from these day cards. Its official FAQ, checked on 13 September 2026, requires a programme stay of at least seven nights and gives the M4 approach via Shamakhi. That policy does not fit this two-night leisure stop.

For each proposed property, ask for the room category, maximum occupancy, bed arrangement and children’s meal charges. A hotel brand alone does not answer whether two adults and two children can share the room being priced.

What should the family quote include?

Send three essentials: your travel dates, the number of adults and each child’s age on the trip. Add your preferred room arrangement and any child-seat or dietary requirements. We use those details to prepare a specific proposal.

The quote should name the hotels and rooms, say whether transport is private, distinguish a driver from a guide, and list the activities and meals included. Entry tickets, mud-volcano transport, ski lessons, equipment and lift passes should each be included explicitly or priced separately. International flights and insurance are excluded from this outline.

How do activities change with the season?

The Gabala day can include Tufandag if the chosen activity is operating and suitable for the children. A Shahdag stay can include winter or summer activities, but the final schedule needs the resort’s current opening information and the activity provider’s age, height and equipment rules. A ski date is not a guarantee of snow or lift operation.

For the Baku days, Gobustan and Yanardag can be combined with a lighter city day. Confirm the children’s ticket rules and the suitability of any off-road excursion for your particular party. The season guide helps compare dates; current opening times belong in the final proposal.

Confirm the driving schedule and hotel room occupancy before committing to flights. Read the deposit, cancellation and change conditions attached to the specific quote.
